等了又等，完美 iOS 5.0.1 越獄終於出現了。今次的完美越獄 (untether Jailbreak) 不包括 iPhone 4S 與 iPad 等雙核心 A5 處理器產品，只適用於可以運行 iOS 5.0.1 的「非 A5處理器」型號，包括︰iPhone 3GS、iPhone 4、iPhone 4-CDMA、iPad1、iPod Touch 3G、iPod Touch 4G。
今次沒有 iPhone 4S 和 iPad2，理由係雙核心機種破解法仍在研究中。但作者說，已經在研究中，稍後會有 !
以下是網上最多人睇的「完美越獄」 ( Untether Jailbreak) 步驟，有興趣者不妨參考。
但小弟聲明，越獄是有風險，可能會令你的手機死亡，亦有可能失去保養，更有可能失去所有資料。同時今次完美越獄，只作示範性質，以及不適用於 "A5雙核心處理器" 機種即iPad2與iPhone 4S。小弟唔會負任何責任。

A few days ago, @pod2g gave the untether to both the iPhone devteam and the chronic devteam. We’ve put it into redsn0w 0.9.10 and PwnageTool, and the chronic devteam put it into a Cydia package (the same set of exploits is in all three).
Here are the basic steps for how to get it:
- The untether is for iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone3GS, iPhone4, iPhone4-CDMA, iPad1, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G
- If you have one of those devices and are not on 5.0.1 yet, update now! The SHSH window is still open for 5.0.1 If you unlock via ultrasn0w or gevey, make sure you only get to 5.0.1 via a custom IPSW! See the guides at places like iClarified.com if you don’t know how. Once you’re at 5.0.1, use the latest redsn0w 0.9.10 to both jailbreak and untether.
- If you’re already at 5.0.1 with a tethered jailbreak, you have two choices: either run redsn0w 0.9.10 over your current jailbreak (deselect “Install Cydia” if you do that), or install the Cydia package prepared by the chronic devteam. The patches are the same regardless of which you choose.
- Some of you are using a hybrid 5.0/5.0.1 configuration. If so, do not attempt to install this untether over that setup! You will most likely get into a reboot cycle. Do a sync and fresh restore to 5.0.1 then install the jailbreak + untether.
@pod2g is now looking for a way to extend this to A5 devices. Because those devices cannot use geohot’s limera1n exploit to inject the untether, they require exploits above and beyond those used for this release. Keep following pod2g on

These are instructions on how to perform an untethered jailbreak of your iPhone 4 on 5.0.1 using RedSn0w for Windows. The Mac version of this tutorial is coming soon.
This procedure will cause you to upgrade your baseband potentially ruining your chances for an unlock. Please follow a Windows tutorial on how to update to iOS 5.0.1 using a
custom ipsw if you need an unlock.

Step One
Create a folder on your desktop called
Pwnage
Download the latest version of RedSn0w from
here and place it in the Pwnage folder. Likewise, download the 5.0.1 firmware from
here and place it in the Pwnage folder. (Note: you do not need to download the 5.0.1 firmware if you are already on iOS 5.0.1)
Extract the RedSn0w zip file by double clicking it.
Step Two: (You can skip this step if iOS 5 is already installed on your device)
Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes.
Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left. Now hold down
Shift and click the
Restore button. Restore is preferred as it won't create any wasted space on your iPhone.
Navigate to the Pwnage folder on your desktop and select the 5.0 firmware ipsw. Click the
Choose button to continue.
iTunes will now update your iPhone to the new firmware.
Step Three
Launch the
redsn0w application from the redsn0w folder we extracted earlier.
**Windows 7 users may want to try running the redsn0w executable mode as an administrator in Windows Vista compatibility. You can do this by right clicking the executable and selecting Properties from the contextual menu.
Step Four
Once RedSn0w opens click the
Jailbreak button
Step Five
Plug your iPhone into the computer and make sure its OFF then click the
Next button
Step Six
RedSn0w will now guide you through the steps to get into DFU mode. You can find more help with DFU mode
here
Hold down both the
Home button and the
Power button for 10 seconds.
Release the
Power button and continue holding the
Home button until RedSn0w detects the device.
Step Seven
Your iPhone will now reboot
Step Eight
RedSn0w will now prepare the jailbreak data.
Step Nine
Select
Cydia from the list of options and click
Next.
Step Ten
Your iPhone will now be rebooted again and RedSn0w will begin uploading the new RAM Disk and Kernel.
Step Eleven
Once this is complete you will be notified that RedSn0w is done. When your iPhone finishes rebooting (5 minutes or so) it will be jailbroken with Cydia on the SpringBoard.
